Parents are encouraged to pre-order their tickets for the February 27 9th Grade-Varsity Choir concert. The order form was sent home with each ninth grade choir student and can also be found here: ticket order form. All ticket orders are due February 10. |

Valley View Choirs will present concerts on February 27 & 28 at the Edina Performing Arts Center (EPAC). The 6th and 7th grade choirs will perform at 6:00pm on Monday, February 27. Our annual Masterworks Concert combining the 9th grade choirs from both middle schools, as well as the Edina High School Varsity Choir, will be at 8:00pm on Monday, February 27. The 8th grade choirs and Chamber Choir will perform on Tuesday, February 28 at 6:00pm. Tickets will be sold in the EPAC lobby 30 minutes before each concert. |

On Friday, November 18, the Freshman Cavaliers will perform as part of the 35th Annual State Convention of the American Choral Directors Association of Minnesota. The performance will be at 2:00pm in the chapel at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. Parents and guests who wish to attend will be able to purchase a ticket for admission prior to the concert. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for students with a ID. Valley View Choirs will present their Fall Concerts on Thursday, November 3 and Monday, November 7. On Thursday, the 6pm concert will feature our eighth grade women's and men's choirs along with the 8-9 Chamber Choir; the 8pm concert will feature Freshman Choraliers & Cavaliers also with Chamber Choir. The sixth and seventh grade choirs will perform on Monday at 7:30pm. All concerts are in the Valley View Auditorium. Tickets are sold beginning 30 minutes prior to the concert and prices are $3 for adults and $2 for students and senior citizens. |

Valley View Middle School Freshman Cavaliers—the ninth grade men’s choir—has been selected as a performing choir for the 35th Annual Fall Conference of the American Choral Directors Association of Minnesota. Each year, the conference program includes ten to twelve ensembles representing all levels from elementary school to professional choirs. A panel of conductors selects the choirs from a pool of applicants after hearing two years’ worth of submitted audition recordings from each group. The Cavaliers will perform on Friday, November 18 at 2:00pm on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, and they will work with clinician, Dr. Judy Bowers, Professor of Choral Music Education at The Florida State University. |

Students interested are required to attend a 30-minute practice session before an audition recording session will be scheduled. Please refer to the dates and times in the cover letter, and make note of the other details carefully.

-Composition notebook (typical 100-page type)
-Supply of pencils with erasers for the entire year
-2 boxes of tissues labeled with student name
-Grades 6-8: Green "Edina Choirs" polo (purchase information will be available on the VVMS "Get Connected" website) along with black dress pants, socks, and shoes
-Apparel information for all choirs (including grade 9 and Chamber) will be made available at Open House and in the Choir Department Handbook distributed the first day of class. |
